Gordon was a city councillor since 2008 for the Abbey Ward of Gloucester City Council  Gordon then stood in the newly formed Ward of Abbeymead. He was born and educated up in Nottinghamshire, where he studied at Nottingham Trent and Nottingham University respectivley. He moved to Gloucester in 2004,since moving to Gloucester he has been working with the conservative party and has got involved with many local issues and social action projects, Gordon said “The South West is a beautiful area and I enjoy living here in Gloucester, to make a difference in your local community you have to get involved and contribute.” Gordon stood down to spend more time with his family in 2024.
